Aldo Leopold Sting Cancer

5K Family Fun Walk

Aldo Leopold is proud to announce our first annual Family Fun Walk for Sting Cancer.  This walk will be held beginning at Aldo Leopold on Saturday, June 4, 2016 .  Register by May 6, 2016 to receive commemorative walk t-shirt.

In 2004, Preble High School faculty member Nick Nesvacil and a small group of students and staff started STINGCANCER to raise cancer awareness and to help those affected by cancer.  Last year, Aldo Leopold School became the 20th chapter of STINGCANCER to support our own Aldo families being affected by cancer.

If your family, or an organization you are part of, would like to donate to our walkers goody bags please turn in any items (flyers, coupons, etc.) to Megan or contact Gretchen at for pick-up.

Sting Cancer’s finances are managed by The Aldo Leopold Association of Parents Teachers and Others, Inc. (ALAPTO, Inc.) is a non-profit organization which was incorporated in 1997, and is administered by a 10-person Board, elected by the Aldo Community. ALAPTO is an exempt organization as defined by IRS Section 501(c)(3), and Wisconsin Chapter 181 as a Non-stock Corporation; therefore, your contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. ALAPTO, Inc., raises funds and provides financial assistance to the Aldo Leopold Community School, specifically in a manner that will aid the school in the development of its academic, artistic, civic and cultural excellence.

If you are giving a monetary donation please make checks payable to ALAPTO.  All of the funds collected will support our own Aldo Leopold community through our Sting Cancer Awareness Group.  We hope that you will consider this donation.
